Opened in 1975, the café originally was Raleigh's premier vegetarian restaurant. Since then the menu has expanded to include fresh seafood, chicken and great steaks, but the restaurant's pride remains the health-conscious fare, which incorporates low-fat, nondairy and vegetarian entrées. Desserts are made fresh daily on site. Live music is featured nightly.
