This funky bistro is a little hard to get to, just north of the downtown core in the Mordecai neighborhood, but foodies beat a path here for the daily changing menu of inventive, unfussy fare. Selections feature a handful of entrées, often including a pasta, a rib-eye, and a seafood, but the backbone of the menu is the list of generous-size small plates. Two or three easily make a meal. Crispy pig head is a signature dish; it's a lightly fried pulled pork patty of jowl meat with beluga lentils. Rarities like sweetbreads and roasted bone marrow in creative preparations often appear on the menu, as do oysters, scallops, lamb, vegetarian fare and more. Craft cocktails and house-made sweets, some comprised of chocolate from the neighboring chocolatier, complete the experience.
