Pros: Hotel and room were both very clean. Wendy, the desk clerk on Wed. am was VERY nice. A young gentleman I spoke with when we booked our stay was also very nice (this was in the evening).
Cons: Sadly, the desk clerk, Kristen, was extremely rude not only to us but to two young men checking in right before we checked in, a guest who called down to the desk with a question and to a lady she completely ignored who stood at the desk for some time and never got even a "I'll be with you in just a moment". This young woman treated us like second class citizens and was extremely condescending to us (we are educated older folks). She was very snippy and obviously was NOT raised in the South because she sure didn't offer ANY Southern Hospitality. She is NOT what Hampton Inns and Hilton want for a desk clerk working with the public (maybe in a back room capacity as a file clerk or something). She did, however, gush all over a man who checked in immediately after we did and couldn't take care of him quickly enough. My husband, a minister, had had enough and when he came back in with our luggage, he commented he hoped she had a good evening (if that was possible). He really felt bad about doing that, too. The desk clerk on Wed. am, Wanda, was VERY nice and the General Mgr, Mary, even comped our room because of our experience but the charge had already been run through by Booking.com and we weren't even supposed to pay until we checked in and the charge is still on our checking account. Unfortunately, Booking.com really should NOT advertise you can pay when you check in because they ran our charge through TWO DAYS IN ADVANCE. Also, I had specified I needed a room near an elevator and also a step stool (I'm short) so I could get in bed. Miss Kristen literally spat out at me that they didn't have step stools after another desk clerk assured me that they did, and she emphatically said it's a safety issue. Sliding bath mats on the bathroom floor are a safety issue, a small step stool to enable one to get into bed is not. I won't be booking through Booking.com in the future.

Pros: food was OK but not great
Cons: Poor relations with customers. Asked for a better room with a mountain view and counter person refused because reservations made with a third party, you. Front desk was very uncooperative.
