Cliffs of the Neuse State Park is 3 mi. w. on SR 55, then 2 mi. n. on SR 111 to 240 Park Entrance Rd. Cliffs and vegetation line the Neuse River. A natural history museum, an 11-acre lake for fishing and boating, and interpretive nature trails are in the park. Camping sites are available year-round.
Pets on leash are allowed. Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
Hours: Park open daily 7 a.m.-10 p.m., May-Sept.; 7 a.m.-9 p.m., Mar.-Apr.; 7 a.m.-8 p.m., Oct.-Nov.; 7-7, rest of year. Visitor center open daily 8-5. Lake facilities operate Memorial Day weekend-Labor Day.
