Weymouth Woods-Sandhills Nature Preserve is at 1024 Ft. Bragg Rd. The 900-acre preserve contains 4 miles of hiking trails leading through pine forests and swamps. A nature exhibit hall contains displays and dioramas depicting regional flora and fauna. The Wall of Fire, a 10-foot-high illuminated mural, explains fire's role in forest ecology. A sound-activated “night sounds” display highlights various animals native to the sandhills region. Interpretive programs are conducted seasonally.
