AAA Editor Notes
Burgwin-Wright House and Garden is at 224 Market St. The 1771 Colonial Georgian house is restored and contains 18th-century furnishings, offering visitors the chance to experience what life was like in pre-Revolutionary Wilmington. The gardens include an orchard, rose garden, 1744 kitchen and debtors jail cells. The massive stone walls of an old jail constitute the house's foundation.
Guided tours are available.
