Poplar Grove Historic Plantation, 9 mi. n. to 10200 US 17N, is one of America's oldest peanut plantations. Tours visit the 1850s manor house as well as outbuildings representative of a southeastern North Carolina working farm. Heritage arts demonstrations are offered when staffing allows.
