Children's Museum of Winston-Salem is at 390 S. Liberty St. This hands-on museum features interactive, themed galleries where kids can shop for groceries in a supermarket, use oversize blocks to build forts and race cars, explore playhouses in a storybook forest, send doughnuts down a conveyor belt and climb a beanstalk to the second floor. Exhibits focus on literature, storytelling and the arts.
Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
