Market-Fire Engine House, part of the Old Salem Museums & Gardens complex on Salem Sq., is divided into two sections. One holds two of the earliest fire engines used in North Carolina; the other is a former meat market. The original fire engines and firefighting equipment are displayed.
Two-stop ticket (to any two museums on grounds of Old Salem Museums & Gardens) $18; $9 (ages 6-16). All-in-one ticket (valid for two consecutive days) Tues.-Sat. $27; $13 (ages 6-16), Sun. $22; $11 (ages 6-16); free (undergraduate college students with ID).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 9:30-4:30, Sun. 1-4:30. Closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
