AAA Editor Notes
Miksch Gardens and House, part of the Old Salem Museums & Gardens complex on S. Main St. just n. of Salem Sq., was built in 1771 by Matthew Miksch. An enterprising man, Miksch sold tobacco, candles and gingerbread. Behind the house is a log shed where seasonal activities often are demonstrated.

Two-stop ticket (to any two museums on grounds of Old Salem Museums & Gardens) $18; $9 (ages 6-16); free (ages 0-5 and undergraduate college students with ID). All-in-one ticket (valid for two consecutive days) Tues.-Sat. $27; $13 (ages 6-16); free (ages 0-5 and undergraduate college students with ID). Tues.-Sat. 9:30-4:30, Sun. 1-4:30. Closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
