Stutsman County Memorial Museum, 321 Third Ave. S.E., is housed in the 1907 George Lutz mansion, an Arts and Crafts-style dwelling that features impressive stained glass. The museum highlights the life and culture of the area's early settlers. Period displays include a homesteader's shanty, music room, country store and nursery. Also on display are pioneer clothing and needlework, antique medical equipment, military artifacts, pioneer machinery, railroad items and Native American artifacts. The museum also contains a library.
