Arrowwood National Wildlife Refuge is 20 mi. n. of Jamestown on US 281, then 6.5 mi. w. on CR 44. This 15,934-acre nesting and feeding refuge for migratory waterfowl, pheasants, sharp-tailed grouse, partridges and white-tailed deer is on the James River. Fishing and boating are permitted in designated areas.
