Arrowwood National Wildlife Refuge

Arrowwood National Wildlife Refuge is 20 mi. n. of Jamestown on US 281, then 6.5 mi. w. on CR 44. This 15,934-acre nesting and feeding refuge for migratory waterfowl, pheasants, sharp-tailed grouse, partridges and white-tailed deer is on the James River. Fishing and boating are permitted in designated areas. Maps outlining a self-guiding driving tour of the James River bottomlands and native prairie are available at refuge headquarters, 27 miles northwest of Jamestown on US 52/281.

Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
