Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens

Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens is at 441 St. George St. The 4-hectare (10-acre) park features themed gardens representing different periods in Port Royal's history. Highlights include the Governor's Garden, the Knot Garden, the Rock Garden, the Victorian Garden and a rose collection that includes almost 2,000 bushes representing some 250 varieties.

The Acadian section includes a replicated 1671 thatched-roof house, which provides a glimpse into early settlers' lives. New trends in plant materials and gardening techniques are demonstrated in The Innovative Garden. More than 2 kilometres (1.2 mi.) of paths wind among the gardens and displays.
