North Highlands Community Museum is at 29243 Cabot Tr. Pioneer life and northern Cape Breton traditions are depicted through exhibits, artifacts and photographs, a blacksmith's forge and a settler's garden. Historical events such as shipwrecks, construction of the first transatlantic cable and the development of gypsum mining also are explored. Archive and genealogy research are available by appointment. A series of concerts and events is offered July through August.
