AAA Editor Notes
Museum of Natural History is off Bell Rd. at 1747 Summer St. n. of the Halifax Public Gardens. The province's natural history is presented through exhibits about marine life, geology, ethnology, mammals and birds. Our Amazing World is a circular theater with a suspended 18-foot spherical “screen,” onto which computerized projections replicate aspects of our globe. The Netukulimk exhibit, taking its name from a Mi'kmaq word for the balance of nature, includes interactive features and even a bee colony. The archeology display depicts nearly 11,000 years of human history, while other galleries show various natural and cultural history exhibits.
