Inspector Pick (Social Scene): While the décor and the customer service is superior, what always stands out for me is the lobby with its exquisite vintage appointments.
Situated opposite the Halifax Public Gardens, this grand hotel was built in 1927 and then expanded in the '70s. The guest rooms are tastefully decorated and range in size from average to spacious. The lobby is still preserved with historical charm and the ceiling is a replica of the ceiling found at the Parliament House in Ottawa. The rooms offer modern comforts and conveniences. The park gardens across the street should not be missed while visiting Halifax.
