Pros: Excellent location, very friendly front desk staff. We were celebrating our 45th Wedding Anniversary and 70th Birthday and room was upgraded to a suite which was excellent.
Cons: Breakfast area was very disorganised with little or no management apparent. Tables not cleared although queue of hotel guests awaiting breakfast.

Pros: Still a nice hotel with an olde grandeur. It has been beautifully maintained.
Cons: The aircon didn't turn off so I unplugged it. It then wouldn't start up again.

Pros: I had a 7am flight to catch and had requested a 4:45 am wake-up call. The call was never received so it made it very challenging to be ready for our booked airport taxi. This is unacceptable from any hotel but even more so from one such as the Lord Nelson.
Cons: See above!!
