Pros: We loved the location and the food was delicious. The kids enjoyed the pool, and kayaking in the river.
Cons: The hiking trails were closed when we visited due to the high fire risk. They had the driest summer in fourteen years! We went there specifically to hike so we were very disappointed. We also happened to visit while the Liscombe Lodge was hosting a wedding party. This meant that the game room was closed to other visitors during our stay. Our children were very disappointed. We were also told at the front desk that we could use their kayaks and paddle boat. However, when we spoke to the helpful staff at the dock they told us that the paddle boat broke a few years ago. We did however enjoy the kayaks although my husband and daughter were both given broken paddles.
