Sydney and Louisburg Railway Museum is at 7336 Main St. This restored 1895 railway station contains the stationmaster's office and several exhibit rooms with displays and models devoted to the history of railway technology and marine shipping. Period coach cars, a freight car, a tanker and a caboose are adjacent to the museum. A working model of the S & L Railway main line also is displayed in the original 1895 freight shed. A tourist information office is on the premises.
