AAA Editor Notes
Whale Interpretive Centre is off Cabot Trail at 104 Harbour Rd. Displays describe 16 whale species found off Cape Breton, with life-size and scale models, recorded whale calls and interactive exhibits. A 10-minute videotape presentation chronicles the history of whaling, and a touch tank contains saltwater creatures in a landscaped marine environment. The centre also serves as an outlet for whale-watch cruises (think Wesley’s, Captain Marks and Limbo Tours) as well as ecotours that operate along the Cabot Trail coastline.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
