Balmoral Grist Mill Museum is 2.5 km (1.5 mi.) s. off Hwy. 311 on Hwy. 256. Built in 1874, this is thought to be the oldest operational gristmill in Nova Scotia. Visitors can see flour being ground and examine the mill's unique Scottish oat-drying kiln. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
