Tonopah Historic Mining Park, 110 Burro Ave., is a historic mining site from the early 1900s covering more than 110 acres. Tools, minerals and machinery fill original buildings, accessed via marked, self-guiding trails. Visitors walk through one of the initial strike's first ore discovery areas, while bridges offer dizzying views of the deep excavations. Built in 1903, a former power and telephone station houses a visitor center, a theater and exhibits. A 2-hour guided ATV tour is available by appointment.

Note: Visitors are advised to refrain from straying off marked trails and to stay out of fenced areas.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
