A short walk from the most popular downtown hotels and the Barclay’s Center, this charming restaurant has a good selection of French staples, such as mussels steamed in a white wine and garlic broth, scrumptious escargots, beef Bourguignone, bouillabaisse, burgers and a grilled hangar steak. In the summer the spacious rear garden's outdoor seating area is one of the very best romantic spots in the area. Plates are very well-priced. Bacchus, the ancient Roman god of agriculture, wine and fertility would be pleased, no doubt, to have such a splendid and romantic wine bar and café in Brooklyn named in his honor. The back garden hosts weddings and parties seasonally.
