George Eastman Museum is at 900 East Ave. This 50-room mansion, once occupied by George Eastman, the pioneer of popular photography, has been restored to its early 1900s appearance. Formal gardens grace the 12.5-acre estate. Its holdings comprise more than 400,000 photographs, 28,000 motion picture films, an impressive collection of photographic and cinematographic technology and extensive holdings of documents and other objects related to George Eastman.

The Dryden Theatre presents film programs throughout the year. Guided garden tours are offered June through September. Cell-phone tours and a research library are available.
