Jefferson County Historical Society

Jefferson County Historical Society, 228 Washington St., is in the 1878 Paddock Mansion, which contains high-Victorian furnishings and decorative art, Native American artifacts from Jefferson County, historic water turbines, Civil War memorabilia and coverlets. A re-created Victorian garden, a reconstructed 19th-century log cabin, a one-room schoolhouse and a carriage barn with antique automobiles and farm implements also are on the premises.
