Tule Tree

Tule Tree (Arbol del Tule) is in the village of Santa María del Tule, about 10 km (6 mi.) s.e. of Oaxaca on Mex. 190. This colossal specimen of a Mexican cypress, or ahuehuete, is believed to be at least 2,000 years old. The tree stands in the local churchyard and measures more than 150 feet both in height and around its base.
