Pros: All the staff were so nice, helpful and warm. Loved the location. Loved the decor and smaller feeling of the hotel. It did not feel like a cookie cutter hotel, but rather rooms had unique designs and artisan pieces of furniture. The restaurant was surprisingly very good (and we are SF Foodies!).

Pros: The food was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. Landscaping was very well designed and maintained. I had stayed there 25 years ago, and this time it was better than I remembered.
Cons: Can't think of anything.

Pros: The hotel property is absolutely beautiful -- wonderfully situated, designed and landscaped, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. This was my fourth stay at the Santa Fe -- the last was 18 years ago -- but it's even more beautiful now than then, primarily because of the growth in tropical vegetation. The bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. The margaritas were fantastic. The value for the money was incredible.
Cons: There is a small boutique stocked with really quality local handicrafts. Unfortunately it was closed during the entire six days that I was there.

Pros: Centrally located. You can walk easily to town and Zicatela. Other beaches are a very close and a cheap cab ride away. Hotel is quiet and has a lot of charm. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
