Historic Sauder Village is on SR 2, .5 mi. e. of SR 66. This living-history village tells the story of the early settlers of Ohio's Great Black Swamp. The village includes more than 40 historic homes and shops. Costumed guides bring history to life in the homes, schools, barbershop, doctor's office and more.

There are cooking, farming and other period demonstrations that change with the season. Working craftspeople include a potter, glassblower, blacksmith, woodworker, spinner, weaver, cooper, broom maker and tinsmith. The village also includes a turn-of-the-20th-century homestead with a barn and animals, a Native American village, a pioneer settlement area and a museum. At Little Pioneers Homestead children can “play pioneer” in the cabin, barn and garden. Carriage and train rides are available. The village also hosts many events during the season.

Camping is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 4 hours minimum.
