A nice starter for dinner here is a basket of their delicious assorted house made breads, including breadsticks and focaccia. The bread and a glass of wine make a fine meal, but do not stop there. Save room for such tempting antipasti as tuna crudo or tempura shrimp, then progress to entrées like the veal filet or potato gnocchi with four cheese fondue. Of course, one should not even think of leaving without sampling the delicious desserts, such as tiramisu or caramel panna cotta. This restaurant is located in a brick structure that served as a car barn for the system of incline trolleys that were the transportation system for much of the city in the 19th century. Today, the building has been lovingly refurbished to preserve the original brick walls, which are adorned with massive mirrors. You should probably use the valet parking service since parking spaces in this older neighborhood are in short supply.
