International Women's Air & Space Museum

International Women's Air & Space Museum is in the lobby and the west concourse of the terminal building at Burke Lakefront Airport, .4 mi. e. of E. 9th St. at 1501 N. Marginal Rd. The museum features memorabilia and historical artifacts depicting the lives and achievements of women in aviation and space.

Some of the exhibits showcase Katherine Wright, sister of the Wright Brothers; Amelia Earhart; Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASPs); Bessie Coleman; and the Mercury 13. An aerobatics plane built and flown by a woman, the hands-on exhibit Living & Working in Space, and a mission control console from Houston Space Center also can be seen.
