AAA Editor Notes
Kelton House Museum & Garden, 586 E. Town St., is a restored 19th-century brick house that reflects Greek Revival and Italianate architectural styles. Most of the furnishings are original and offer insight into the prominent upper-class family who lived here. The house also was a station on the Underground Railroad where escaped slaves from the South were sheltered on their journeys to Canada; an exhibit in the basement offers details about this part of the house's history. The Victorian garden features statuary.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 15 minutes minimum.
