Mohican State Park is adjacent to Mohican State Forest, just s. off SR 3. At the upper edge of the forest is the 113-foot Pleasant Hill Dam, the highest dam in the Muskingum Conservancy District. Within the 1,110-acre park are 5 miles of the scenic Clear Fork Branch of the Mohican River, providing canoe enthusiasts with another perspective of the park. Other recreational opportunities include hiking on more than 15 miles of trails, fishing and biking on a 25-mile-long mountain biking trail. Riverside campsites and cottages are offered as well as a resort lodge overlooking Pleasant Hill Lake. Additional hiking trails, hunting, and 25 miles of bridle trails are available at the nearby 4,525-acre state forest.

Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
