AAA Editor Notes
Allen Memorial Art Museum is at 87 N. Main St. (SR 58) at Oberlin College. The permanent collection spans the history of art; highlights include 17th-century Dutch and Flemish paintings, late 19th- and early 20th-century European art, and modern and contemporary American art. The main building was designed in 1917 by Zanesville native Cass Gilbert, and a 1977 addition was designed by Venturi, Scott Brown & Associates. Several temporary exhibitions are presented each year. The museum oversees tours of the Usonian-style Weltzheimer/Johnson House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright 1947-48; it is several blocks from campus.

Guided tours are available.
