Johnston Farm & Indian Agency is off I-75 exit 83, 1 mi. w. on CR 25A, 2.5 mi. n. on SR 66, then .2 mi. e. to 9845 N. Hardin Rd. This 1815 two-story brick house on a 250-acre farmstead is furnished as it was in 1829 when John Johnston and his family lived there. A museum features displays about the Eastern Woodland Indians who inhabited the area; Pickawillany, the first large English trading post in Ohio; and the canal era in Ohio. Costumed interpreters lead house tours and demonstrate pioneer crafts, and a mule-drawn canal boat ride takes visitors through a restored portion of the Miami-Erie Canal.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
