AAA Editor Notes
Akron Art Museum, One S. High St. at jct. E. Market St., occupies a late 19th-century brick Italian Renaissance Revival structure—formerly the post office—and the 2007 John S. and James L. Knight Building, which integrates part of the historic building. The museum's permanent collection presents a distinctive look at regional, national and international art from 1850 to the present, with a strong focus on paintings, sculpture and photography. Artists represented include Chuck Close, Childe Hassam and Andy Warhol. Nearly a dozen changing exhibits are presented each year.

The 1-acre Bud and Susie Rogers Garden is on the grounds.
