The Wood County Historical Center & Museum

The Wood County Historical Center & Museum is off I-75 exit 179, .25 mi. e. on US 6, then s. to 13660 County Home Rd. The 1868 Victorian infirmary was a working poor farm where each resident was expected to contribute based on ability. Exhibits showcase the history of the infirmary and Wood County. The 50-acre grounds contain two walking trails, an herb garden, an asylum, pestilence house, oil derrick and pauper's cemetery.
