AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Drinks): I love the wines produced at this estate. Try the Unita, a medium-dry wine made from local Marquette grapes similar to Pinot Noir.
This restaurant is located in a remodeled two-story barn nestled in a rustic setting with a pond and vineyards. Start your meal with cream of mushroom soup or a plate of pierogi. Progress to a hearty entrée such as Tuscan short ribs or trout served Oscar style. Guests also can choose a wood-fired pizza topped with boar sausage, goat cheese and caramelized onion. Pasta dishes include lobster formaggio gemelli and house-made gnocchi. Be sure to enjoy some of the house wines. A large-plate special designed for feeding two to three people is offered daily. No meal is complete without tasting one of the homemade desserts, such as apple raisin bread pudding or gelato cake (layers of vanilla gelato, white cake and fudge). A wide variety of wines is produced here at the winery. Some (mostly the white wines) are made from grapes grown on the farm.
