The 11-foot-tall figure is a replica of a 1917 work by noted sculptor George Grey Barnard; the original is in Manchester, England. The 2.3-acre park also features a flag display, a U.S. Marine Corps monument, and plaques describing the history of the site. Flowers adorn the grounds spring through fall.
Note: Parts of the park will be undergoing renovations in late 2016. Portions of the park may be affected or closed briefly; phone ahead to confirm availability.
