AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Classification): I find this hotel, with its whimsical yellow plastic penguins, numerous pictures of camels and "breathing chandelier", is a fun-loving experience.
Public areas have permanent and rotating exhibits of contemporary art, much of which is self-consciously avant-garde. Rooms have a clean, minimalist luxury décor. Bathrooms have Rookwood tile showers. The hotel has a playful aura. Elevator landings have art vitrines with each floor having a unique exhibit. Electric yellow penguins populate public areas and have even been known to move into guest rooms. A counterpoint to all these modern features may be found in the corner suites which are adorned with window blinds that feature historic daguerreotypes of the 19th century Cincinnati waterfront. Another traditional feature may be found in the restaurant which has an impressive flaming brick hearth that would have been a perfect feature for a 19th century Ohio stagecoach tavern. After dinner, go up to the rooftop bar for drinks and a splendid view of downtown Cincinnati. You will not be bored in this hotel. Smoke free premises. 156 units. 10 stories, interior corridors. Terrible.
Pros:
Cons: Booked double room but had to take a king room-1 bed 4 people. No cots available. 2 senior citizens had to sleep on the floor. Manager bragged about her authority to discount the room, yet only gave us a free night of parking. We were given her business card but the voicemail wasn't set up and she never answered our calls. Should not use third party if the hotel can't provide the room selected.

Changing our original reservation was...
Pros: The products they provided were amazing. I loved all the toiletries!
Cons: We were surprised, upon arrival, to find that 7 adults had been placed in two rooms with king sized beds. I had called the facility to confirm my reservation the week before, and I was told we had two double rooms. When we arrived that was not the case, and the staff immediately blamed this issue on bookings.com. To make matters worse, they had no roll away beds! Obviously, we did not sleep comfortably!

Superb customer service but odd...
Pros: It was very nice. We were given a voicher for $20 at the hotel restaurant because we had to wait for our room to be ready. They gave us a little outfit for our soon-to-arrive baby, which was a nice touch.
Cons: Expensive parking at the hotel which we didn't use. Just parked very close in a garage overnight for $10. Easy. There was also a weird goat picture hanging over our bed. Could have done without that but I guess that's what you get at a museum hotel.

Pros:
Cons: I arrived at C21 hotel and sadly C21 had not received my reservations from Booking.com. The hotel was fully booked, yet they did find space for us. I feel the room was much smaller then the room I booked, yet grateful I am that I had a room. The staff was extremely joyful and helpful. HOWEVER, today I see in my bank account both booking.com and C21 is charging me for my to small of room, and definitely not worth double the price. I couldn't be more disappointed. The odd thing is Booking.com is charging me exactly one hundred dollars more for the room than C21. I thought your company was advertising the "best" rates. I now feel that using a third party to book a room, is not the best idea, and will never try it again. I also, have to figure out how to cover your mistake until I reach the proper person to reimburse my account. Not really the weekend get away I wanted for my anniversary.
