Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is at 3900 Wildlife Way. The 183-acre zoo is home to thousands of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish in naturalistic habitats. Giraffes, lions, ostriches and zebras are in the African Savanna; Wolf Wilderness features a pack of gray wolves and a beaver lodge; and Australian Adventure is home to kangaroos, koalas and wallabies. Of interest are big cats, gorillas and primates as well as sharks and lungfish. African Elephant Crossing is a five-acre elephant habitat and education village. In addition to a herd of five elephants the exhibit features meerkats, naked mole rats, an African rock python and an aviary of African birds.
Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
