SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park

SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park is off I-75 exit 51, 1 mi. w. on Edwin C. Moses Blvd., then 1 mi. s. to 2301 W. River Rd. More than 800 years ago a group of early Native American farmers, known as the Fort Ancient Indians, developed a complex system of charting time based on observations of the sun's position. SunWatch is a reconstruction at the site of one of their villages. Visitors can explore the rebuilt houses and gardens and learn about the way of life of Fort Ancient Indians.
