Fairport Harbor Lighthouse and Marine Museum is at the n.w. corner of High St. at 129 Second St. The museum, in the former lighthouse keeper's house, has various artifacts pertaining to life on the Great Lakes as well as maritime exhibits, which include navigation instruments, charts, models, photographs and tools. The lighthouse dates from 1871. Visitors can climb the tower's circular staircase for a spectacular view of Lake Erie.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
