The Sherman House Museum is at 137 E. Main St. The structure was the birthplace and early home of brothers William T. Sherman, Civil War general, and Sen. John Sherman, author of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. Sherman family mementos, Civil War artifacts and other antiques are displayed in this 1811 house. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$6; $4 (ages 65+); $2 (ages 6-18). Combination ticket with The Georgian $10; $6 (ages 65+); $3 (ages 6-18).
Hours: Guided 1-hour tours depart as needed Tues.-Sun. noon-4, Apr.-Dec. Last tour begins 1 hour before closing.
