This impressively-restored downtown restaurant has the dignified appearance appropriate for an upscale establishment. Dinner here is a heady excursion for those who delight in corn-fed, Prime and Choice beef. Try the filet mignon, rib-eye steak or (for a substantial extra sum) one of the cuts of Wagyu beef. On Friday and Saturday nights, prime rib is a main attraction. These substantial dishes are supplemented by an array of salads (including a Caesar salad prepared tableside). Though beef is definitely king at this establishment, seafood also has an honored place. Spice-rubbed Pacific king salmon, bronzed sea bass and oysters on the half shell usually are available. Live entertainment is provided in a separate, upstairs lounge that can be accessed for an entrance fee.
