Malabar Farm State Park is at 4050 Bromfield Rd. This conservation, demonstration and educational farm was home to Louis Bromfield, early 20th-century author, farmer and conservationist; it is the only working farm in the Ohio state park system. A visitor center and 4 miles of hiking trails are on the grounds. Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
Park free. Wagon tour $2; free (ages 0-5).
Hours: Park open daily dawn-dusk. Visitor center open daily 11:30-5:30. Tractor-drawn 45-minute wagon tours are given daily at 1 and 3, Memorial Day-Sept. 30; Sat.-Sun. at 1 and 3, May 1-day before Memorial Day and in Oct. Phone ahead to confirm tour schedule. Allow 1 hour minimum.
