Marion County Historical Society Museum at Heritage Hall is 1 blk. e. of Main St. at 169 E. Church St. Local history is chronicled in exhibits about the military, railroad and other historical topics. Of note are the Harding Presidential Rooms with exhibits about former U.S. President Warren G. Harding, a native of Marion. What is said to be the world's largest stuffed horse also is displayed in the museum. The horse, Prince Imperial, was born in Napoleon III's stable and was later purchased by a Marion County livestock dealer. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
