Oberlin College is at 173 W. Lorain St. This leading college of liberal arts and sciences was founded in 1833. Two years later, Oberlin established a formal open-admissions policy that disregarded race and gender. By 1900 one-third of all African-American graduates from predominantly white institutions in America were graduates of Oberlin.
Oberlin's renowned Conservatory of Music presents ticketed and free concerts throughout the year.
