Fort Ancient Earthworks and Nature Preserve is at 6123 SR 350. A prehistoric earthwork built on a plateau by the culture known as Hopewell, Fort Ancient encompasses about 768 acres containing the remains of village sites as well as circular mounds used as a calendar. Fort Ancient Museum illustrates the religion, customs and cultures of the prehistoric period. Hiking trails are available. Picnicking is permitted.
