Lake Erie Islands Historical Society Museum

Lake Erie Islands Historical Society Museum is s. of DeRivera Park at 25 Town Hall Pl. Displays include model ships, paintings, records recounting the 1813 Battle of Lake Erie, a lens from the 1897 South Bass Island Lighthouse, postcards, photographs and local wildlife exhibits. Furniture, silver, a mural and other items from the Hotel Victory also are on display. An exhibit details more than 125 years of winemaking on the island. A restored carriage barn and bottling works are on the grounds. A 15-minute video details the history of the island.
