Canal Exploration Center

Canal Exploration Center is 1.5 mi. s. of Rockside Rd. at 7104 Canal Rd. at jct. Hillside Rd. in Valley View. Once used as a tavern, a general store and a residence, it now is a newly revised center offering exhibits, some of which are interactive, about the Ohio & Erie Canal. The exhibits connect topics relating to progress in the canal era that are relevant today: immigration, transportation and a free market economy. The general store sells a selection of goods reminiscent of the canal era.
