Museum of the Western Prairie

Museum of the Western Prairie, 1100 Memorial Dr., depicts the history of Oklahoma's western prairie country from nomadic Native American inhabitance to urban and agricultural communities. A reconstructed half-dugout (a pioneer house that was built partially underground) and ranch headquarters are featured. A reference library contains many first-edition publications about the area.
